Hi neighbors,
Our Fall Membership Meeting is open to everyone in the neighborhood — members, non-members, new arrivals, people who have been here forty years. Most of the evening will be focused on soliciting feedback on the new Wheaton Master Plan, hosted by Montgomery Planning.

|
From Montgomery Planning
Help shape the future of Wheaton! Montgomery Planning is seeking community input on transportation, housing, public spaces, and more for the Wheaton Plan. The Wheaton Plan will guide public investment and public development over the next 20–30 years. Join Montgomery Planning and the Glenview Neighborhood Association for an interactive discussion about the plan process and your goals and priorities for your neighborhood and the Wheaton area.

Glen Haven Elementary School, All Purpose Room (Cafeteria) |

Free, and no need to RSVP — just come |
Here’s how the evening runs:
| 7:00 PM |
Open house. Sign in, then walk the room — Planning’s boards will be up and staff are on hand to chat about the plan. |
| 7:15 PM |
Welcome, then small groups. A quick welcome and Block Party update from the board, then we break into tables. Each has a Planning facilitator and notetaker, working through themes like housing, getting around, local businesses and parks. |
| 8:15 PM |
Closing remarks from GNA and Montgomery Planning. Done by 8:30. |
If you have ever wanted to join a committee — or start a new one around something you care about — come talk to us. Everything the association does is run by neighbors who raised their hand.
Bring your questions. This is the meeting where telling the county what you think actually goes somewhere.

Can’t make October 1?
Weigh in from your couch
Montgomery Planning’s visioning questionnaire covers housing, transportation, economic development, environmental resilience and recreation. It takes about five minutes and there is no deadline — but earlier answers shape more of what gets drafted.

Getting around
A new crossing on Georgia Avenue
The county plans a HAWK signal — a push-button crossing that stops traffic on demand — linking Evans Parkway Park with Carroll Knolls Local Park and its new pump track, the county’s first. It’s out for bid now and could move relatively quickly.
